In-App
The in-app channel is a direct line to your agent inside the CustomAgents dashboard. No setup required — it's always available as soon as you create your agent.
How it works
Open your agent's page in the dashboard and click the Chat tab. You can message your agent directly. It responds just like it would on email or text — with the same memory and the same instructions.
What it's good for
- Testing your agent before pointing email or text traffic at it
- Giving new instructions mid-task without sending an email
- Checking in on what the agent is working on
- Reviewing drafts and approving sends before they go out
Relationship to other channels
The in-app channel shares memory with your agent's email, text, and Slack channels. If you update the agent's instructions via in-app, those instructions take effect across all channels immediately.
